Baby baby baby

I had a lovely relaxing weekend - horrah.

I went to my first NCT (National Childcare Trust) nearly new sale which was fantastic. It was great because there were so many baby clothes and toys etc. The majority of which were nearly new and at fantastic prices.

I came away with a massive carrier bag filled with:
Newborn vests, baby gros and cute little hats and jackets and a few toy things.

I also got a few baby grows for 3-6months (as we don't know how big baby will be when he arrives).
Plus.... Gina Ford Music for contented little babies - which is a book of lullabies and a cd for £2 it's usually £8.99.

I had one "run run" experience where this mother tried to hard sell me this all singing dancing, steamer and liquidiser thing for £40. I had to point out I was hardly at the stage of weaning as baby was yet to be born... Then pushy mum tried to sell me this maternity pillow for £20... One of her lines was it's great, you can sleep with it and once baby is born you can use it as a baby support and feed baby on it....

I had this nasty vision of leaky boobs and then baby spitting mashed carrot over this pillow!! Pushy Mum was tying to get me to give her £20 for the dubious item....

Luckily another lady came by to have a browse over her stall and I trotted off to inspect baby gros a few stalls down.

A lot of the clothes were being sold for 20p, 50p the most expensive item was a beautiful never been used cream fluffy jacket for £1.50 and a soft Winnie the Pooh Bear cream sleep suit.

People aren't there to make money they are there to get rid of their baby gear clutter, in turn the clothes I get will either be resold or donated to friends and family who have babies.

The Don is most impressed with my purchases.

We then went to the weekly car boot on Sunday and purchased a few more baby clothes. However, I am trying to stop myself as we still have a way to go and baby will soon have a more extensive wardrobe than me.

I am now on the look out for baby blankets and things for the nursery that are sooooooo expensive. I am being very picky as there is so much to chose from and now I have found the NCT ....
